Poetry Boom by Zoom, with Sharon Black Dates: Sat 4 – Fri 10 September 2021 Cost: £125
Saturday 4th will be a 1-hour drop-in social from 17-18h, an opportunity to say hi and have a chat. Bring a drink if you like, let's get to know each other. Sunday 5th - Thursday 9th will involve 3 hours of daily workshop time: 9h -11h UK time will consist of writing prompts and shared writing time and end with an optional prompt to work on during the day. Afternoon sessions 17h - 18h UK time will be for feedback: depending on the number of participants, we will either focus on short pieces of work from everyone, or work on a rota basis. Friday 10th 1-hour (a.m. OR p.m. TBC) will be for a farewell, with reading of 1 poem each from the week. The maximum number of participants is 12. Sharon will also be able to offer 1-1 mentoring to anyone who has work-in-progress they would like professional feedback on. Sharon Black is from Glasgow and now lives in the Cevennes mountains of France. Her first poetry collection, 'To Know Bedrock' was published by Pindrop in 2011. Her second, 'The Art of Egg' came out with Two Ravens in 2015 (reprinted Pindrop, 2019). In 2016 she took over Pindrop Press as editor and publisher. A pamphlet, 'Rib', appeared in 2021 (Wayleave Press). Her third and fourth full collections will be published in 2022 with Vagabond Voices and with Drunk Muse Press respectively. |
